Missions

Tackling the systemic challenges that impact deep tech chemistry ventures.
From tackling climate change to improving human health, deep tech chemistry can transform how we live today and help secure a cleaner and better future.

If the sector is to achieve its potential, we need early-stage ventures to thrive and grow. This success depends not only on the venture itself, but also on the broader environment in which it operates. Therefore, one of our strategic priorities is tackling persistent challenges and creating positive change in the deep tech chemistry ecosystem.

Our approach

We are well-placed to catalyse change in these challenge areas given our deep understanding of chemistry ventures, breadth of stakeholder networks, and position as a convening organisation.

Our approach to creating system-wide change involves understanding the root causes of the issue as opposed to just addressing the symptoms and then leveraging our networks to initiate action at multiple levels.

More ChemLabs

The first major issue we are addressing is access to chemistry laboratories for early-stage ventures.

Deep tech chemistry ventures developing transformative technologies are stuck. With long experimental and development timelines, ventures cannot find suitable facilities to carry out research or scale-up.

Game changing technologies are on the brink of failing. No laboratory, no technology research, no impact.

We are committed to addressing this shortage through the More ChemLabs initiative.

Get involved

Through our missions work, we want to improve the wider system for deep tech chemistry ventures now and in the future. This will require collaboration from across the ecosystem to share experiences and evidence, contribute stories of innovation, and actively help create innovative solutions.
