Masterclass on Strategic IP Management for Deep Tech Chemistry Ventures on 27 June

This event aims to maximise the value of your current and future IP assets. There will be a session lead by Patent Attorneys covering IP strategy and culture, its impact on new and existing relationships, freedom to operate, and common pitfalls and how to avoid them.

This will be followed by a talk from an experienced, exited founder covering how they crafted their strategy and used it to drive value for investment rounds and exit. Finally, an investor will cover how VC funds value formal IP rights and the process of IP due diligence and how investors ensure IP strategy is optimised pre- and post-funding.

Opportunities from the ecosystem

Horizon Europe Pump Priming Programme

This initiative supports small to medium sized companies wanting to explore and access Horizon Europe collaborative research and innovation opportunities. Successful applicants will have access to grant funding up to £6,000 and are advised to work with a UK National Contact Point to support their project.

Women in Innovation Award and application support 13 May – 10 July

Women within UK-registered SMEs can apply for a share of £4 million to develop their innovation. The grant also includes bespoke business support and is open to female founders, co-founders, or senior decision makers.

If you are interested in applying there will be four online Q&A support sessions  to guide you through your application.
