University of Leeds have developed LowCat, a new material for removing toxic gasses including nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide from vehicle exhausts. LowCat functions at temperatures common in slow moving vehicles, where conventional emissions management technologies are not effective. LowCat does not use expensive platinum group metals, and is simple to manufacture. https://www.leeds.ac.uk/lowcat
